Natsumi no yosoku funō no nichijō seikatsu

 CHAPTER 1

Now this was the day where Natsumi and her Mom plan to move to Ikebukuro. Why? For Natsumi's high school years, that's why. Yahiko Village doesn't have a public highschool for some reason.
It was a cold rainy day so Natsumi and her mother has to wear something warm. Especially for the train ride.
"Natsumi! Hurry up, we're leaving soon!" Yuuki called from downstairs.
"Yeah! I'm almost done! I'll be down in a sec!" Natsumi replied from her bedroom.
The house was nearly empty. All that was left was a couple of empty draws and yeah. Stuff they don't really need since they're staying at Natsumi's cousin's house.
"Nastumi slipped he pink jacket on and grabbed her heavy suit case "Okay! I'm coming down now!" She called out as she pulled her roller-suitcase thing out of the room, obviously struggling A BIT.
Yuuki opened the front and turned back, seeing Natsumi as she made her way down the stair case. She wore a black skirt, thigh-high stockings, a pink jacket, and a pink bow holding her long black hair into a ponytail.
Her mother arched her brows, staring at Natsu's outfit. She tilted her head slightly to the side "Honey, you're wearing a skirt." she pointed out almost as if she thought Nastumi didn't know that.
"I know!" Natsumi replied abruptly with a smile.
"But, it's pretty cold and windy outside. I don't want you catching a cold-"
"Don't worry, Mom! I'll be fine." Natsumi said as she walked passed her and out the door, pulling her roller-suit case thing with her. "Plus, I'm wearing long socks. That's something to keep me warm, right?" she added.
Yuuki held the door knob and watched as Natsumi struggled to pulled the heavy suitcase towards out the door "Well, your socks aren't thick enough to keep the cold air out." she muttered.
 "What was that?"
"Oh. Nothing. Just don't complain to me when your legs start to shiver on the really, REALLY COLD AIR-CONDITIONED train." she said, emphasizing those four words hoping it will convince her daughter to change.
Natsumi shrugged as she barely pulled her suitcase "Eh, I'll be okay." he responded reluctantly.
Yuuki sighed "Okay.." she murmured before closing the front door and placing her keys into her purse. She walked over to Natsumi and looked at her luggage "What's in there?"
"Oh. Just some clothes." Natsumi answered with a bit strain.
"Judging by your straining, it seems like your pulling a bag of bricks.."
"Oh, and there's books in here, too."
"Okay, now it makes sense." Yuuki said. 'But how is it that heavy?'

A few minutes later, Natsumi finally put her luggage in the back of the van and closed the trunk before leaning her back on it, wiping er sweat off her forehead "Man, that was heavy!" she said as she exhaled. She looked at her mom "You know, you coulda helped me out a bit..." She muttered.
"Oh,sorry, Honey! I was doing something." Yuuki replied.
"Doing what?" Natsumi stood straight and sighed "So are we going to say good-bye to Grandma and Grandpa? Oh, and some of my friends too?" She asked.
Yuuki nodded and smiled "Of course we are!" she said.
Natsumi flinched and turned around, seeing a couple of her close friends standing there.
 "Aika and Yumi?" Nastumi said.
Yumi was a girl with short pink hair tied into two small pig tails, purple eyes, and a black sweater with a purple rain coat, black skirt, and leggings.
The other girl who stood there too has long black hair, blue eyes, and wore a sailor suit uniform, holding an umbrella.
Aika smiled "Hey, Nastumi. We heard you were moving today." She said.
"Yeah, so we decided to come over and say good- bye." Yumi added.
Natsumi turned around and frowned "This isn't good bye. I'll be seeing you guys again very soon."
Aika and Yumi exchanged looks and looked back at Natsumi "You are?" questioned Aika.
Natsumi smiled and walked over to the two "Of course I will. Why wouldn't I?" she replied with a light smile.
Yumi smiled back "We will miss you, Natsumi." She said.
Natsumi pulled both of them into a hug which startled them a bit "Yeah, me too." she responded.
She stepped back and put her hands behind her back "Just don't worry about me. I'll be seeing you guys again during break or something."
 "Really?" Aika asked.
 Natsumi nodded "You bet!"
"Yay!" Aika cheered before throwing her arms around Natsumi.
Natsumi chuckled and hugged her back. She looked at Yumi who was slightly frowning.        "Geez, don't be so sad. I said I'll be seeing you guys during break."
Yumi flinched and wiped a tear that almost came out "I know...It's just that.." she looked at the ground.
Aika let go of Natsumi and looked at Yumi questioningly.
 Natsumi approached Yumi "Hm?"
"Well, we DID know each other since kindergarten so of course I'll feel this way if you're moving." She looked Natsumi in her eyes, tears already filling her eyes and smiled "You're like a sister to me."
Natsumi looked surprised for a bit and gave a sympathetic smile "You're sensitive as ever." she replied.
Yumi wiped her tears from her eyes and sniffled "S-sorry..."
Natsumi smiled "Don't be." She put her hands on her friend's shoulder "Now stop crying. No matter where I am, I'll always be your friend." She looks at Aika and smiled "So, don't think this is the last time we'll ever meet, Okay?"
Aika stood next to Yumi and nodded "Right." they said in unison.
"Alright everyone! Take a picture with Natsumi before we leave." Yuuki said happily with a camera in her hands.
Natsumi nodded and stood between her friends "Alright, mom!" She made two peace signs horizontally in front of her eyes and smiled brightly.
"Cheese!" the three said all at the same time before Yuuki snapped a picture.
She chuckled "Alright, Natsumi, we have too leave already so hurry up. Grandma and Grandpa is waiting." she said "Say bye to your friends!"
Natsumi nodded and looked at Aika and Yumi "Okay, guys, I have to go." She looked at Yumi and hugged her "Bye!" she said as she hugged Aika again. She back up "See you guys later!" she turned around and entered her van and closed the door.
Yumi waved and wiped her tears "Bye..Natsumi." She said sadly with a smile. Aika waved "Bye, Natsu!!"

A while later, they were headed towards the station. It was night and Natsumi already said bye to her Grandparents.
Natsumi looked at her Mom "This is so exciting! I wonder how its like in Tokyo! It must be filled with people and-and stuff!" she said excitedly.
Yuuki giggled "Yeah, i'm excited, too! And I'm sure your cousin is as well. She probably can't wait to see you!"
Natsumi nodded "Yeah, I wonder how she's doing? We haven't seen her for a while, huh?"
"A few years, right? I'm wondering the same thing about your uncle. We haven't talked for a while either." Yuuki said.
Almost done.
